Management

John Hartman
Founder/CEO

Mr. Hartman is the developer of the proprietary processes used to manufacture OceanGrown solutions. Mr. Hartman’s 30 years of engineering application experience have extended from complex weapons systems to factory automation projects in the aerospace industry. These have included a number of robotic processes including synthetic vision systems. His clients have included Boeing, IBM, Lockheed Missiles and Space, Martin-Marietta, Bell Helicopter, Sikorsky Aircraft, Pratt & Whitney, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Rocky Flats Nuclear Weapons Plant, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Dexter Nonwovens (now Ahlstrom), and Fokker Aircraft. For the past 16 years, John Hartman has been working with growers helping them become more profitable.

Tom Coletti
Advisory Board

Tom Coletti brings over 20 years of experience building, growing and running profitable commodities trading platforms.  His most recent work experience includes Global Head of Energy for Noble Group Ltd., a market-leading global supply chain manager of agricultural and energy products, metals and minerals with annual revenues approaching $100 Billion.  Tom was instrumental in building out the power and natural gas trading platform, spearheading initiatives to launch start-ups and joint ventures, and responsible for global leadership and management of business lines, capital and staff.  Tom was a member of the executive management committee the past 3 years.  Before joining Noble, Tom worked at Sempra Energy Trading and AIG Trading.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from St. John's University, in NY.

Frank Halliwell
Advisory Board

CEO CP Ships, Retired; Member of various Boards of Directors, Corporate Planning.  Frank was appointed Chief Executive Officer of CP Ships in 2004, having been Chief Operating Officer since 2001 and Executive Vice President since 1995.  He has filled a number of senior roles in the CP Ships group since joining Canada Maritime as Commercial Director in 1991.  He entered the container shipping industry in 1971.  CP Ships was sold to Hapag-Lloyd in 2005 for $2.3B .  In 2012-13 Mr. Halliwell as interim CEO for Trailer Bridge Inc, re-structured $120MM of debt, searched and hired a new CEO, and successfully instituted profit sharing.

When with the USDA, he was:

In charge of wetland determinations on agricultural lands.
Provided technical support to other users of soils information.
Provided inter-agency liaison to state and federal agencies for soils information and use.
Provided technical inputs for national policies and manuals.
Served on inter-agency digital soils data task force.
Developed digital field tool for enhancing the production of soil surveys used by NCSS
