Over the past 100 years or so, modern agricultural processes have slowly stripped our, and other nations, farmlands of their nutrients. A plant, such as a tomato plant, requires a certain number of elements to produce a healthy tomato. A healthy tomato would last long after being picked, doesn’t taste mealy, and has intense flavors. Currently, we can not buy tomatoes that are totally healthy because our farmlands have been over cultivated. If you fortify the plants from within they are much more resilient to these dangers, thus limiting or eliminating the need for harmful, poisonous pesticides. Now imagine what we could do with nutrient rich food as our medicine.
